Trade policy of local content at the example of Brazil
Kalkusová, Marie ; De Castro, Tereza (advisor) ; Machytka, Daniel (referee)
The local content is a measure that aims to develop national industries. The first part of this thesis analyses the trade and industrial policy at the example of this measure. Applying this policy, developing countries try to keep the crucial role in key sectors constituting a significant part of GDP. However, the protectionist nature of the measure is often internationally criticized and represents a target of disputes at the World Trade Organization, as outlines the second chapter. The third part of this thesis explores the use of local content in the oil and automobile industries of the Brazilian economy.
